There are a lot of variants when it comes to wetsuit sizes.
This can often lead to a bit of confusion when trying to figure out what the perfect fit is for you.
Unfortunately, there is no universal size chart that watersports brands adhere to.
For men, the only feature you can rely on is the core size such as Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large.
The chest and waist measurements will always be the same and it’s only the height that will change according to the secondary size.
For example, a Medium Small, Medium, and Medium Tall will all have the same chest and waist size.
But the Medium Small will be shorter in height, than the Medium, and the Medium Tall will be taller in height compared to the Medium Small and Medium.
For women, wetsuits come in generic UK sizing (6, 8, 10), however, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for O’Neill and Roxy wetsuits that offer Tall and Short ranges.
Similar to the men's sizes, the chest and waist measurements stay the same, with only the height differing.
Tall being taller and Small being smaller etc.
If you're struggling to choose a wetsuit because the chest and waist measurements are correct, but the height is slightly off, it’s best to stick with where the chest and waist are looking good - as this is arguably the most important.
Be sure to check out the weight criteria, as this can help assure your decision after deciding on measurements.
